RaiJinX's Hypothesis

I believe that if Mokujin does return to Tekken 6, that he might be awaken by the Unknown Character. --Sakura 13:08, 3 October 2007 (PDT)

I believe that that would be what makes him return to Tekken 6. JunKazamaFan 22:57, 7 October 2007 (PDT)

Mokujin in Tekken 6

Anyone else find it odd that Mokujin has a Tekken 6 story to confirm its appearance in Tekken 6 (on Sunlight Yellow ([1])), but nothing else. I mean, there aren't any Tekken 6 videos of Mokujin, Mokujin doesn't have a profile page on Tekken-Official, there aren't any Tekken 6 screenshots of Mokujin, and there isn't a Tekken 6 CG art image of Mokujin. I know some of these also apply to Tekken 6's final boss character, Azazel, but at least there's more than one thing that confirms Azazel's appearance in Tekken 6. If I'm overlooking something, please tell me.
I know what you mean. Besides, its story seems too short to be real. --RaiJinX

Ah. I think so, too, but, then again, Devil Jin's Tekken 6 story is even shorter, but Devil Jin has a Tekken 6 page on Tekken-Official, a Tekken 6 CG art image, Tekken 6 screenshots, and Tekken 6 videos to confirm his appearance as a playable character in Tekken 6, as well. (Off-topic). I don't really like the Tekken 6 stories for Mokujin and Devil Jin. It doesn't even look like they put any effort into them! Even Armor King's Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection story is longer than Devil Jin's Tekken 6 story! Plus, they aren't very good, and Mokujin's story is very predictable. I don't really expect much out of a Mokujin story, but, seriously, they could have done a lot better! Devil Jin's story just tells us what we already know about him! I know he doesn't canonically enter the tournaments, and that he's just a playable character in the games, but, seriously, they could have done a lot better than this! Devil Jin's Tekken 6 story is, simply put, pathetic! Don't get me wrong, I like Devil Jin and Mokujin a lot, but I don't like their Tekken 6 stories. There doesn't appear to be any effort put into them at all! That's my reason for saying all of this. (Back to the topic). Okay, SDTekken says that Mokujin will be available on the 24th (I assume that means Monday, December 24, 2007), so that's additional confirmation. Although, I find it odd that they claim that the time-release feature has been removed, yet we have to wait for Mokujin to be playable. However, this makes sense, as everyone else's movelists have to be completed so that Mokujin can use all of them and be playable, so, never mind. Anyway, this is terrific news for me! I love Mokujin and all of the other "mimic" characters! So, some Tekken 6 videos of Mokujin, Mokujin's Tekken 6 CG art image, Mokujin's Tekken 6 page on Tekken-Official, and Tekken 6 screenshots of Mokujin should be released very soon. So, Mokujin's Tekken 6 story is real, and Mokujin will be in Tekken 6.

The reason we waited is most likely because the arcade version are essentially still Beta-versions, and don't have all the characters, hence, no Mokujin until now (seeing that he is the last character to be made). On a sidenote, this has nothing to do with the term "Time-release". Time-release means the you have to completed the game x number of times for the character to be unlocked, which wasn't the case for Mokujin.

Ah, I see. Well, that's a good explanation, too. / Ah. I just assumed it meant that all characters would be available at the start, and we wouldn't have to wait for any of them. My mistake. I'm sorry about that.

Essentially, it does. Once the final version is released for the PS3, all characters will be playable from the beginning.

Is Mokujin taking up a bonus character slot?

Does anyone know what the repeated kanji on Mokujin's back means?
Hecko Xtalk - blog - anime rants

It's an eastern tally system based on the Kanji used in "correct/rightous" (正しい). It works similar to the western tally system of making a four vertical lines and then one line crossing them out. Because the kanji has five strokes, you draw one stroke for each whatever your tallying, similar to the western way of drawing a line. Is this confusing you, or did you get it?

No worries ^_^ Learned it about a month ago, during kanji practice. It's way more fun when the teacher (or anyone else) has totally random info on the kanji. Like the kanji for "old" (古) looks like the kanji for "10" (十) on top of the kanji for mouth (口), so they say that it is because old people are extremely talkative, so it sounds like they have 10 mouths :P I only have a few of these stories, but they are pure gold.

Hahaha, Yasui technically translates to "put a lid on your woman", I can't believe it. Are you (Hecko X) a member of the site or the owner?)

Hey Wait! I just remembered something I'd been dying to know. During the cutscene in Tekken 5 where Jin beats Hwoarang, Jin is walking away and Hwoarang is lying on the floor..... he mutters something, but it's DEFINITELY not the word "Kazama". I'm betting it's something disrespectful? haha...

It doesn't technically translate as "put a lid on you woman", it's just a saying to help you remember. And yes, I am one of the owners. As for what Hwoarang says, I don't really know, but I can ask around.

Okay, thanks. Oh, ah, I mean douzo. (since the word has the hiragana for "u" instead of the first "o", but I know it's pronounced like "doozo"

You probably mean "doumo", as "douzo" is said when you offer something. It's sorta like saying "Here you go", but not entirely.

Movelists

My suggestion is to make the movelists link toCategory:Moves Lists. Just for Fun, really, but it makes sense.

It would probably be smarter to add what moves he can't imitate, if there are any (I know there are in T3 and TTT, I don't know about T5)

Tekken 6 CG image

Doesnt Mokujin's CG image for Tekken 6 look almost exactly like his Tekken 5 one? I even mistook the image on his profile for his Tekken 5 CG image. Another sign that Namco didnt really put much effort into Mokujin for Tekken 6. TekkenMishimaForce 11:56, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

And how would you suggest he should be changed/improved? I mean, realistically? The level of detail is as high as it's going to get, considering that he's a wooden dummy.

I prefer his no-eyes myself... But point being is he's a wooden dummy that can't change that much. Except maybe a few scratches of wood from places where he becomes motionless again. There ain't going to be no-one who edits his appearance in the Tekken storyline... unless there's someone who finds him and dresses him-up when he's out of it... not preferred.

I meant his stance, like he looks exactly the same as in his stance for his Tekken 5 CG image. He does look very detailed of course. TekkenMishimaForce 09:52, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

But they're different.? [5] [6]

Yeah, but dont they look very similar??

Because they're the same person. They could add diversity by showing Mokujin in very different fighting styles, but hey, they did Capoeira in DarkR. Most people's stances are similar, and hey, two similar stances are used in his T5 and T6 poses. Good day sir. I Lion Heart I 18:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
