Introduction

Tekken (english: "iron fist") is a series of fighting games developed and produced by Namco. Originally an arcade game, it has been ported to the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 consoles. The next installment of the game will be available on the PlayStation 3 console.

The Tekkenpedia

The Tekkenpedia aims to be the best resource for all information about Tekken. This includes all of the Tekken characters backgrounds, story and character relationships. While Wikipedia is a great resource for Tekken, the Tekkenpedia aims to expand on it by diving much deeper into the Tekken universe with videos, character galleries, fan art, forums and gameplay discussion.

"Iron Fist in Kanji"

Character of the Month

Jun Kazama is a playable character in Tekken 2 and the non-canonical Tekken Tag Tournament. She is the mother of Jin Kazama, whom she had with Kazuya Mishima. Her fighting style is Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts. She is an officer of the WWWC, a wildlife protection organization, and she is also highly psychic. Jun has not appeared as a playable character in a canonical Tekken game since Tekken 2, but she has made cameos and been mentioned in several following Tekken games.

I've switched the site to having a dedicated MySQL server as well as a dedicated web host, things should be running even faster now (if that's possible! ;) ) Samuel 08:31, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I've been having problems with the ad network that has been supplying ads on the site. I've switched back to Google Adsense for the mean time which should improve the speed of the site. Samuel 23:26, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to be implmenting a few server tweaks over the next few days to try and speed up the site a bit more, this includes adding a dedicated MySQL server, upgrading the ram on the webserver and that MySQL server as well as installing a PHP accelerator, expect a substantial speed increase soon!
