Thanks

Thanks for the work your doing on the site, I originally spent about 4 months setting everything up then kind of let it run its course after that, so things have been a bit neglected. If you are interested in taking a greater role in contributing to the site then I'm happy to bump you up to sysop status if that is going to make things easier. - Samuel

Sure thing. I don't know if the the status is gonna make any difference, but just in case the situation arises, it would be nice to be able to do whatever it is I need to do. --Hecko 07:19, 22 November 2006 (CST)
No problem, I'll upgrade your account. Also, a while ago I thought about extending the character pages with movelists and a dedicated page for each move, you can kind of see a start I've made on it here for Wang,
http://www.tekkenpedia.com/wiki/Wang_Jinrei_Movelist
Think this is worthwhile doing? I stopped when I made a decision to keep the Wiki about the Tekken universe rather then a playing guide, however now I'm starting to think about reinstating it. Can you see a better way of putting this together then I have now? Prehaps using namespaces? Samuel 16:41, 30 November 2006 (CST)
First of all, you'll need a Legend that non-experienced players can refer to, if they do not understand what, e.g. (f,f,f_WR)+2 means. Also, I think making a page for each attack would be pushing it a bit too far. And finally, I think it would be better to make movelists and juggles sub-pages of the character page. E.g. Wang's movelist should be placed at Wang Jinrei/Movelist, instead of on a separate page. Otherwise, I would suggest the movelist setup used by Tekken Zaibatsu, since it works very well. --Hecko 17:09, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Hmm, the reason I was going to divide each move up onto it's own page was to facilitate discussion about it and usage of it. I think moving it onto the character is a good idea though, the Tekken Zaibatsu legend is pretty standard so I would stick to using that. Samuel 18:18, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Of course, all I'm saying is, that you a) have to make an article with the Legend on it here on the Wiki; or b) have to link the legend on every movelist, which you pretty much had to do anyway... But stuff such as guaranties after a hit belongs in a juggle sections, which is why I didn't see the need for each attack having it's own page. But then again, the properties do change, from game to game, but that can be countered by making e.g. Wang Jinrei/Movelist T5 and Wang Jinrei/Movelist T4 and so on. --Hecko 18:36, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Hmm, I can see where you are coming from, so adding a move list and juggle section to each of the character pages, correct? It could possibly lead to some very long pages though. If I still wanted to handle discussion of the move would it then occur under its entry in the move list for instance?
I think it would be easier to show you by example. I'm gonna move the Wang Jinrei Movelist to illustrate. P.S. I know I said juggle section, what I meant was juggle sub-page, so the character pages will only become slightly longer. And honestly, I don't think that many will discuss move setups, but if it was to happen, we can just leave an empty box beneath the move for discussion purposes. --Hecko 18:55, 30 November 2006 (CST)

Name on Frontpage

I've removed your name from the front page, thanks for the work on the site. I've being trying to contribute a bit more but I've had my hands tied on another wiki that I've been setting up (www.expertproducers.com, basically a music production wiki)

Flash

I've enabled a beta flash extension on the site, documentation is here:

I'll get to work then. I'll upload in a couple of days, when it's finished. --Hecko 01:03, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
Ran a test, you seem to have forgotten to take this into account. --Hecko 16:45, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
Should be fixed now. Samuel 06:46, 15 April 2007 (CDT)

Tekken 6 Heihachi and Kazuya

Okay, I've seen the source, http://www.sunlightyellow.com/tekken6/. This is the first time I've ever heard of this website. So, I'm sorry I reverted information about Heihachi Mishima and Kazuya Mishima being characters in Tekken 6. JunKazamaFan 15:20, 27 April 2007 (PDT)

No worries. --Hecko 15:23, 27 April 2007 (PDT)

editing modes

thanks for editing that modes bit on Tekken 5 for me, i'll start making the others, check those aswell for me, thanks again.

If you want to get an idea of how many people are coming to the site, check this out: http://www.tekkenpedia.com/statistics/ Samuel 23:16, 11 May 2007 (PDT)

Sysop Mailing List

I've created a mailing list for the Sysops of the site, you can subscribe here:

http://lists.tekkenpedia.com/listinfo.cgi/tekkenpedia-sysops-tekkenpedia.com

It will help us plan the direction of the site a bit better then communicating through user pages.

Noinclude tags

I'm sorry about these noinclude tags. I was having trouble getting the "Gallery" part to work when I first tried it. I finally got it to work by copying the bottom part of the Template:Gallery article. I just assumed that the noinclude tag was a part of it, for some reason. I'm pretty sure I've removed all of the noinclude tags from the galleries. JunKazamaFan 15:20, 24 June 2007 (PDT)

Cool, no worries. Good job. --Hecko 22:06, 24 June 2007 (PDT)

"Installment" Titles

I've created a new template designed for each "installment" of Tekken on a characters page called Template:Installment. Can you take a look at it and make sure it's setup correctly? You can see it in action on the Anna Williams page.

Changed it to be more simplistic and to use internal linkage, so one can see if the page exists or note. Also, I'm leaving for a month, but if there are any issues, just write them on my talk page and I'll check it out when I get back. --Hecko 08:20, 4 July 2007 (PDT)
Thanks for that, I tried using internal links but I couldn't seem to get it to render the template when included. (Samuel) 203.214.75.31 18:26, 4 July 2007 (PDT)
