[edit] Introduction

Sergei Dragunov is a character in the Tekken series. Dragunov first appeared in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, and he has been confirmed to return in Tekken 6.

Sergei Dragunov (Russian: Сергей Драгунов; Japanese: セルゲイ・ドラグノフ serugei doragunofu) is a member of SPETSNAZ, the military headquarters responsible for investigating the unknown body. They thought of giving special orders to one man involved in the excavation. A man named Dragunov, a member of the Special Forces, the very symbol of fear on the battlefield who has been dubbed "The White Angel of Death" because of his overwhelming fighting prowess.

[edit] Trivia

  • With the exception of various grunts and kiais during fights, Dragunov does not speak. It is debated as to whether or not he is an actual mute or if he prefers not to speak.
  • Dragunov's name is based on the Russian Dragunov Sniper Rifle.
  • Dragunov's first sub-boss, encountered at Stage 4, is Raven. Raven divulges that he is on to his "organization" and actions. It is also highly speculated that Raven may have some ties to Dragunov, as both are members of elite units and are both sent to investigate the events in Tekken 5.
  • Before Dragunov fights Devil Jin during his Stage 8 encounter, he looks at a picture of his opponent. It appears to be a picture of Devil Jin in his complete transformation (see Devil Jin's Tekken 5 ending). Also, after Dragunov defeats Devil Jin, Dragunov can be seen dragging an unconscious Devil Jin by the horns.
  • Sergei Dragunov's stage is the Wolve's Den.

Scientists working for the Russian Government have Devil Jin inside a water tank. Dragunov gives them a signal to start. Activating the tank, electricity flows from the tank Devil Jin is in to a similar one in the opposite side of the room, filling the opposite tank with billions of bubbles. Devil Jin screams in pain. Note: It is unknown what the thing in the other tank is. There is a lot of speculation about the thing, mostly about it being the character that first appeared in the silent Tekken 6 trailer, Unknown Characteror being the devil, and it being Ogre / True Ogre. It may be another form, like Monstrous Ogre.
