Kazume Mishima was the wife of Heihachi Mishima and the mother of Kazuya Mishima. Not much is known about her, since she died while giving birth to Kazuya. She was a kind nurturer to Kazuya, as opposed to Heihachi, who was cruel to him. Kazuya would inherit his mother's genes and grew up to be kind-hearted in his early years. But after Heihachi threw him off a cliff and possessing the Devil Gene, all Kazuya wanted was revenge, making him a shadow of his former self.

Kazume Mishima appears in a picture in a locket in Tekken: The Motion Picture, along with baby Kazuya. She never appeared in the games.

• It should be noted that Kazume has only ever been seen in Tekken: The Motion Picture, and has never made an appearance, nor have been mentioned, in any Tekken game.
• Though stated that she died giving birth to Kazuya, you can still see her carrying Kazuya in the picture.
• Kazume's name is written as 三島 一美 (May be "Mishima Kazume" or "Mishima Kazumi") using kanji and as みしま かずみ using hiragana.
