[edit] Description

This character doesn't appear to be human. It is restrained by ice and chains. It is a huge character, as it literally towers over its opponents. Due to Azazel's size, Azazel can't be thrown, but it can throw its opponent ([5]). Despite Azazel's size, it appears that Azazel can be juggled.

Although nothing has been confirmed about this character, there is a lot of speculation about it. It is heavily rumored to be the creature that appears in the ice at the end of Sergei Dragunov's Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ending. Other rumors about this creature is that this creature may even be another form of Ogre or Ogre's Monstrous form, Monstrous Ogre, as seen in Devil Within. It may be related to Zafina because "the clash of two evil stars will shake the world when they come into contact, and, inevitably, the two will unite with the sealed ancient evil being protected by her group, destroying the world." This was taken from Zafina's Tekken 6 profile. It is also believed that Azazel was what Zafina saw when she opened the two double doors and a shocked look appeared on her face. This was shown in the Tekken 6 Arcade opening. This is further supported by the fact that Azazel appears right after this is shown. It is also possible this is the demon from Hell that an old woman warned Julia Chang about.

There are also rumors that Azazel is Devil's Final Form. The combined power of Jin's and Kazuya's Devil Gene.

[edit] Abilities

Azazel appears to have the abilities to summon boulders from the ground to attack the opponent, as well as to keep them away from it, and summoning numerous scarabs made of ice to attack the opponent. Azazel also has some moves that are similar to other bosses in the Tekken series, such as a stun (similar to Jinpachi Mishima's stun attack) and the ability to fire lasers (similar to Devil, Angel, and Devil Jin's laser attacks). Azazel also has the ability to curl up into a ball and roll towards the opponent to attack.

The two catastrophic stars, meaning, the contact between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, ones with the Devil genes, have triggered the supernatural entity into this world. Overwhelming everything around it, it is capable of turning any existence into ashes...

Azazel's storyline is unchanged between Tekken 6 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

Additionally, Azazel has received a design change in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. Rather than being mainly blue, like in Tekken 6, it is now mainly red (at 3:09 - 3:12).

[edit] Character Relationships

  • The contact between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, the two catastrophic stars with the Devil Genes, possibly brought Azazel into this world.
  • It is believed that Zafina and Julia Chang are intending to stop and defeat of Azazel.
  • Presumed to be the evil force that reawakened Mokujin in Tekken 6.
